My wife makes the best chili. She really does
Sandra worked today so I got to assemble all the chili ingredients without her. Here’s the recipe for the Jones Family Chili:
- 2 lb Ground Beef
- 2 cans Kidney Beans
- 2 can Red Beans
- 3 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 Tbsp Salt
- 1-2 onions
- 1/2 Tbsp Garlic Salt
- 1 Qt Spicy V-8 Juice
- 2 cans Chili Style Tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp Noel’s Spice
- Dash of Crushed Red Pepper
Don’t have Noel’s Spice? We don’t either so we use a mix of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning & Emeril’s Seasoning.
Brown the beef & onions. Mix with rest of ingredients. Cook over low heat 3-4 hours, stiffing occasionally.
Since I put it together, there’s no telling how this batch will come out. We’ll see.
Update: It was great chili. Not quite as good good as the *real* Jones Family chili, but it was great
